So much has been happening, let me fill you in, gassy bodies. First- "death; midwest." will be officially released on Squids Eye Records worldwide on April 14th. You'll be able to find it on iTunes and other neenernets on April 7th.
Second, I want to invite you to a birthday party! I will be a part of the fun March 14th Squids Eye 2 year anniversary show here in Dayton Ohio. There will be five other performances and with your five dollar cover you'll be given a free copy of the new Squids Eye sampler CD. I've got a lot of really fun things planned for the night, and hope you can make it out. the happy planets has been signed to Dayton based Squid's Eye Records. They will be releasing death; midwest. with new updated album art and remastered audio. Have a peek at their site and give some of their fine musics a listen! My involvement with Squid's Eye could not have been possible without the wonderful people involved with the Gluons and Scott Deadelus.
In other news, the first live happy planets performance went really well. I've since updated the download section of this site with photos from the show, the flyers were involved in promoting it, and a place where you will soon find video of a select few songs from the night. Thank you to everyone who was involved in making that night happen and everyone who came out and shared their positive energy with a relative stranger.
The archive download for death; midwest is no longer on the site. You currently can still listen to the streamable songs as normal.

This website will now be home to not only the music releases of the happy planets, Eric Rieper, but will also begin to feature other sorts of audio, video, and sofctore romance novels by Eric, me.
You can now find the first in a series of short videos related to death; midwest, here on the site. It can be permanently found in the "downloads" section up above.
All albums are now available for both download and streaming directly through this site. In the future, releases by side projects of mine will also show up here, as well as singles and works in progress.
